Palawan New Years 2013: Day 1 - Badjao Seafront

Our NGO is closed for two weeks over Christmas and New Years. We weren't sure if we would have company over that time or not. It turns out that we didn't so we decided to go to Palawan!

Cebu Pacific has a daily direct flight from Davao City to Puerto Princesa for a very reasonable price. There was even a promo! We got in just after 10am and once we checked into our hotel, we headed out for an early lunch.

The entrance to Badjao Seafront Restaurant.

To get to the restaurant, you walk through mangroves.

The dining room over looks the bay.

It was still decorated for Christmas.

This was the view from our table.

Evan had the Chicken Adobo with coconut milk.

I had the crab in coconut milk. They were delicious.
The owner of our hotel is friends with the owner of this place. He even drove us over and had our first tour pick us up there. Despite the alternative motive, it was a great recommendation! It is in a beautiful location and the food is wonderful! I'd probably suggest going there for lunch to appreciate the view. But I'm not sure what it looks like at night so maybe that is nice, too.

Stay tuned for the City Tour!
