Fruit of the day: Elderberry ("Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!" ~ Monty Python and the Holy Grail.)

Movie of the day: "Everything is Illuminated" (Absolute brilliance. Breath-takingly beautiful, heart-wrenchingly sad and gut-bustingly hilarious.)

 
Album of the day: "Everything is Illuminated Soundtrack" (Amazing soundtrack)

 
Book of the day: "Everything is Illuminated" by Jonathan Safran Foer (Great read, very different from the movie, a bit heavy.)

Country of the day: Ecuador (This is the country that is number one on my must-visit list. It has mountains, rain forest, ocean front coast... and... the Galápagos Islands!!! The incredible biodiversity of this archipelago is what inspired Darwin to develop his theory of evolution. They lie right on the equator and due to the greatly varying ocean currents and winds, these islands play host to many unusual and unique animals. I really could go on... It is my dream to see this place and yet tourism is destroying it. I am torn.)
